Unfortunately, no.  I also tried "sudo sed -i 's/XINERAMA/FAKEEXTN/g'
/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/lib/i386/xawt/libmawt.so" as mentioned in that
same thread but that did not help either.
