Next maybe there will be a fix to the pmail bug that prevents using secure
SMTP:

Having the app close is only an anoyance.  Lack of secure SMTP capability
prevents using pmail with some SMTP servers, including gmail. As more mail
servers are configured to require secure SMTP, this problem affects more users.

If you experience the pmail secure SMTL (ssl) bug, please report it and vote
for getting it fixed. For some reason its status has remained at "unconfirmed",
although it has been reported by several users.
