Happens to me, too, running Debian sid on amd64 with Wine 1.1.25, kernel 2.6.29
(2.6.29-2-amd64) and the nvidia driver at version 185.18.14. dmesg output is
normal. This is in standard d3d mode; adding the -opengl switch makes the game
playable for a while longer, but also results in a crash.
