Sorry, no. However I didn't try hard at all (nor try to understand what the
different programs in the cctools archive do).
I got too many compile errors that I did not investigate further. Among others,
gcc was invoked with some unrecognized option; Perhaps the scripts are not
prepared that I only installed gcc-4.2 on my system (not the default 4.0)?

Perhaps somebody who installed straight Xcode 3.x install would be successful?
I merely installed individual packages like gcc4.2Leo, CoreAudioSDK, OpenGLSDK,
X11User, DeveloperToolsCLI, DevSDK etc. A bug I need to send to Apple is that
now, it won't let me install the whole Xcode meta package, as it says something
like "can't install into a non-empty directory", without saying which one.

I also didn't cross-check whether I could build the version of cctools that
corresponds to my DVD, rather than the old one.
