My issue occured due to adobe downloading updates.  I didn't noticed this at
the time of my encounter of the issue.  Later on, I saw a strange icon on top
bar (ubuntu 9.04) that I never saw before.  When I clicked on it, it was
downloading adobe bridge updates.  I stopped the process and I was able to open
adobe photoshop without an issue.
