Another thing to look at is the version of the PrintCD software.  I also had
problems running the newest version under Vista and had to install an older
version.  The PrintCD version I'm running now is 1.20A.  I'm using wine 1.1.10
on a PCLinuxOS2009.2 system.  Both of my CUPS printers were recognizedv --
Epson R200 and CUPS-PDF.  I have other printing issues, but none with printer
recognition.
