I followed your instructions in comment #7, starting from a clean wineprefix.
MISE does not crash any longer but it never starts. All I see is a black screen
and the terminal repeats forever:

fixme:xinput:XInputGetState (0 0x32c64c)
fixme:xinput:XInputGetState (1 0x32c64c)
fixme:xinput:XInputGetState (2 0x32c64c)
fixme:xinput:XInputGetState (3 0x32c64c)

...at about one-second interval.
