Unfortunately, yes... It is visually identical: the line is shifted to the left
and what is after the last existing character is not canceled (more precisely:
only one column of pixels is blanked). If you write "aid" and cancels the "i",
there is a shadow of a "d" that remains.

Tell me if I can help in any way (turning on any debugging info or whatever, I
don't mind recompiling).
