It doesn't have to be a swirly, simply move winamp off the the desktop into
another one (by dragging) and it disappears. 

It seems that doing a swirly causes it, but it only is a problem when the
equalizer or the playlist is attached to the winamp client. In this case,
moving the group causes the winamp agent to jump aroun,d which lets it jump off
of the screen whether it be the top, left, or right edge
