I'm seeing it now too in 1.1.22 for some fonts. 

Based on the dozen or so fonts I checked, it seems to affect only fonts that
don't have a separate file for the bold version. In Windows, Office apps can
still bold these fonts.

This also affects Word 2007, Powerpoint 2003 & 2007, and Excel 2003 & 2007.
