That commit is most likely not the cause of this behaviour. Maybe you had a
poised source/build tree.
Other causes can be prelink which sometimes leads to weird behaviour
(improperly configured/run intervals) or Linux kernels where ASLR was broken.

Since it's working for you now, I suggest to mark this bug "invalid".

Maybe you can add a note to UO appdb entry, describing the problem with "Razor"
tool and solution.
That way other users benefit from it and don't fall into same trap.
