Just to confirm my point, in Fedora 10 I've reinstalled
"wine-core-0.9.58-1.fc9.i386" which succeeded in running c-evo application,
despite the following console output :

fixme:mci:MCI_LoadMciDriver Couldn't load driver for type L"MPEGVIDEO".
If you don't have a windows installation accessible from Wine,
you perhaps forgot to create a [mci] section in system.ini

just equivalent to what dave has posted. This output is very likely to be
linked to mpg issue ...

Nevertheless application works fine under wine ver 0.9.58 (on Fedora at
least...), except it still does play mp3 sound files, but I have never saw wine
playing them, whatever version was used.

For a better display of graphics please download a add to your local c-evo tree
the content of the following download :
                       http://c-evo.org/files/download.php?vinegar.vinegar.zip
which contains nothing but png and txt files.

The adress reported in the modal window seems to be bind to the selected tribe
(Cf Screenshot of dialog box arising from access violation attachment). It
seems to be a different constant for each tribe.

What a pitty this nice open source application does not work any more since
wine ver 1.x.x ...

I've got no idea whether CrossOver from CodeWeavers behave any better ... run
the application with or without playing mp3 sound files.

Regards
