I do not know.
I found a patch for Video Deluxe that seems to resolve this problem.
I do not see it anymore, but now loads of new problems have come up.
By installing wine tools and installing several things like VB I could resolve
some missing functionality.
But now my wine is not supported anymore because of wine tools.
Given the time frame I expect is needed before video deluxe 2006 will work, I
give up on wine.
