This bug has proved to be identical to #9615, so lets mark it as duplicate.

Both this bug and the 9615 bug report are about crashing when clicking the
menu-bar which is fixed and is expected to be closed soon.

The drop-down menu's not closing is not. If the approval of the proposed
patches takes too long for your patience, feel free to create a new bug report.
