Here are results for Motocross Madness 2 Demo with a complete different HW and
SW setup: NVidia MacOS instead of formerly Intel-Xorg on Linux.

There's still a slight delay when moving over buttons (as noted in comment #0),
but it's less disturbing than observed on the less powerful Linux machine (no
dual core, less GHz).

OTOH, switching menu screens still causes the app to hang for a few of seconds.

Another effect I described in comment #0, namely that the background colour
changes slightly where the mouse pointer moves, is only present when the
display is currently flipped (see bug #18615 about this screen flip issue).

The race itself runs fine, as with the Intel graphics driver.
