I had a look at this issue again with wine 1.1.32 and it persists. While trying
to find out what the difference between the two files is, I noticed that the
sample rate and other properties are completely correct. However the file does
not even contain all the original sound data (when listening to both the files
created by Windows and the one created by wine, the latter seems to start a bit
later). I then opened both in Audacity to compare them, and indeed wine's file
is quite a bit shorter. I attached a screenshot of the two files in Audacity,
roughly aligned (the upper one is the correct one, below is the faulty file).

I don't even know what part of wine might be responsible for this problem -
maybe I can replace some file(s) with native ones to circumvent the problem?
