Alsa is been working great for me in wine-1.1.30. In fact, it is the only
setting that works consistently for me. Fedora 12 disables OSS in
/etc/modprobe.d/dist-oss.conf. It can of course be re-enabled but then desktop
sounds don't work and you can do things like listen to videos while recording,
owing to the way pcm-oss and snd-seq-oss modules take exclusive control of the
sound card.
