I've observed that Eve always starts correctly the first time after a reboot. 
Afterwards, it refuses to start again in most cases (does start occasionally,
but not often).

Copying the DLL files or cleaning up the settings directory does not seem to
solve the problem.

The problem exists with kernel 2.6.31-11 (current one is 2.6.31-12), at least.

I have a Core 2 Duo.
