I had the same problem with Forged Alliance. Black screen and no error message
that could give a hint to the problem.

I did a regression test as described in the wiki, wich gave me the result shown
in the above attachment.

However, I was able to fix this issue by simply deleting the "Game.prefs" file,
which is located somewhere in the [USER]/Local Settings/Application Data
directory.
