Huh: arethusa on #winehq suggested I try this!

No, the redraw was still broken, and it immediately came up with an error
message about scripting failing; I didn't record the error, as arethusa didn't
think it would be interesting, and I've thrown that experiment away.  I can
repeat if necessary.
