Morrowind 1.2.0722 crash with wine 1.1.26

Morrowind 1.2.0722 (no addons) + wine 1.1.26: random crashes during the 3-5
seconds pause.
I've attached a log...
At the end, when the output says "No process loaded, cannot execute 'detach'" I
have to terminate the program with ctrl-c otherwise it remains stuck.

Yeah, I get this as well, but it does stop the pausing.I tried quartz.dll
version from windows xp, windows 7 and a few random download versions. The
versions from native installations both had pops and clicks, the downloaded
versions either crashed the game completely, or music didn't work at all.
Are the people that have music working correctly using a specific version of
the quartz.dll?
This is with Oblivion, BTW, I haven't tested with Morrowind.

It happened the same thing to me, but it was worst: after freezing 3-5 seconds
while changing background music on combat, Wine did a major, unrecoverable
crash.
I am running Morrowind GOTY Edition with Bloodmoon expansion installed, plus
the official plugins downloaded from Betheda's site. I got Jaunty, and Wine
1.1.29.
I fixed the problem thanks to you all, guys: I did the quartz.dll workaround
and it worked perfectly for me. I configured Wine to use only native
quartz.dll, and now Morrowind changes BGM while entering on combat and it
doesn't freeze anymore. And it doesn't crash, either!
