I see, so it wasn't invalid just because I copy pasted I'm hoping (as that's
what I thought before).

Before I posted this, I tried installing it through playonlinux on my ext3 and
ext4 partitions, and the same thing happens.

I don't feel particularly welcome here and regression analysis looks time
consuming, so sod it. It makes no difference to me, I can just play the game
with an old version of wine installed side-by-side with the latest version.
