"WINEDEBUG=+tid,+seh,+relay,+msi,+msidb" as well as a comparison with a
"native" installation, it can be seen that the registry is missing a large
number of entries (e.g., the entire "HKLM\Software\Classes\Installer" node is
missing).
Since Adobe uses a "patch" dll to modify both registry entries and file objects
during updates (cf. the .rtp files which are kept in an update subdirectory of
a forementioned "native" installations), it looks like the registry handling
has to be fixed to get the update to work.
