The lines:

fixme:d3dx:D3DXGetShaderConstantTableEx (0x30dd140, 0, 0x1f0f564): semi-stub
fixme:d3dx:ID3DXConstantTableImpl_GetConstant (0x6412f70)->((nil), 0): stub
fixme:d3dx:ID3DXConstantTableImpl_GetConstantDesc (0x6412f70)->((nil),
0x1f0f474, 0x1f0f3e0): stub

seem to describe the heart of the problem. Generating a +d3dx trace is probably
a good idea.
