I think this is invalid. For me under wine:
real    5m26.909s
user    0m8.870s
sys    0m3.790s

with native wininet:
real    6m34.367s
user    0m10.450s
sys    0m5.030s

on windows:
7m21.144s, and that didn't even install all the patches. With those, it was
probably 2-3 more minutes.
