The problem is easy to reproduce by doing
$ cd ~/.wine/drive_c/users/$LOGNAME/Application Data/Football Superstars
$ wine FSPatchR.exe

The app's log file (also visible as OutputDebugStringA in +relay) has
lots of lines like

2010-08-09 01:35:23 - Failed to get TAD Stamp for 'C:\users\dank\Application
Data\Football Superstars\FSPatchR.exe'.
2010-08-09 01:35:23 - The file 'C:\users\dank\Application Data\Football
Superstars\FSPatchR.exe' local version cannot be verified.

I'll attach a few thousand lines of +relay,+file log leading up to that error
message.
