Yes.

Well, then you can use Wine bottles, you won't need to brak other programs.
Use wibom (http://wibom.sourceforge.net/), import your .wine directory and
clone it. Then you can configure one bottle to use hardware acceleration for
sound (and uninstall The Neverhood from it), and second bottle without hardware
acceleration (and uninstall other programs but The Neverhood).
