I would recommend two things:
 * not using any optimization or messing with CFLAGS in case of Wine
 * link your bug report against AppDB, so other players with the same problem
are aware of it (i linked it right now)

So when you are running Gentoo, it shouldn't be a problem for you to follow:

I would do that for you, but unfortunately you are the only one who have this
problem now.
