Can't confirm. Works for me under following versions:
 * 1.2-rc3, 1.3.1-267-g7ab48e8

Please retest with latest wine and if it still fails, provide screen-shot
showing the problem and graphical setting + map + car... Whatever is needed for
successful reproduction of the problem for someone who never played this game.
