Let's make this bug report be about the sound problem.

It's easy to reproduce:
  wget
http://h.yimg.com/jh/games/download/signed/ludia/yahoo_whereswaldo_tm6-6.exe
  rm -rf ~/.wine
  sh winetricks ie6
  wine yahoo_whereswaldo_tm6-6.exe
  cd "~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Yahoo! Games/Wheres Waldo - The Fantastic
Journey"
  wine WaldoWindows.exe

  Click Play.
  Work around bug 25370 by alt-tabbing to the game, then away from it, then
back to it.
  Listen to the sound during the logo movie that plays.

The sound should be clear, but instead it's stuttery.
