Sadly, I see much bigger problems on the horizon for the upcoming version 5 of
Pegasus Mail. Looking at David's developer blog at
http://www.pmail.com/devnews.htm, he talks about using Internet Explorer to
render HTML within Pegasus Mail and an "SQL-based backend" to store contacts
and mail data. While he doesn't say so explicitly I strongly suspect he's
talking about the embedded version of SQL Server that M$ makes available free
these days.
I hope I'm being unnecessarily pessimistic, but it seems to me that the future
of Pegasus Mail and Wine is not looking rosy.
