I have this bug too. I think it only shows up on ATI cards running the Catalyst
drivers. When I installed SC2 on Ubuntu running the open-source ati drivers,
the text showed fine. So it's probably a driver issue.

I have learned my lesson: don't buy from ATI.

Running Arch Linux x86-64, Catalyst 10.12, Radeon HD 4350.
