All your hints didn't helped for me. But I encountered, that the main window
covers all the smaller windows! I thought they just flash visible just to
vanish like the main window content. But they are hidden behind the main
window! Strange thing is that basically all those other windows shows the
content - even the "Visual Thinking" window shows board and pieces. But the
main (biggest) window alsmost never shows any board or pieces. I just get it to
show a board in the Tutorial mode- but just for 1 question.

When I resize the main window, the content shows strange colors and artefacts.
I have even seen some pieces of my desktop background picture in it (even
though I start wine with a virtual desktop)!
