can confirm what Alexander De Sousa wrote on Winamp. Here on Ubuntu 9.10, Wine
1.1.36 using Winamp 5.572.

If I press CTRL and a multimedia key it gets recognized. Winamp doesn't
recognize the key only. Also no keys work globally without Winamp window having
the input focus.

On the Terminal I get a lot of

fixme:keyboard:X11DRV_ActivateKeyboardLayout 0x4090409, 0000: semi-stub!
fixme:keyboard:X11DRV_ActivateKeyboardLayout 0x4090409, 0000: semi-stub!

messages. But they are not directly related to the press of a multimedia key.
They appear any time I switch from a multimedia key press to a "normal" key
press (both ways).
