This works!!! However, now I get this error from the Visual C++ runtime
environment: msaccess.exe tried to load the library incorrectly. 

Wine reports this error:

I just compiled wine 1.1.37 as a universal binary on my Snow Leopard Machine as
a universal application. Microsoft Word 2007 still runs fine.

But, it's Access that I need.
