Please retest with the latest version of Wine (1.2-rc7). From log:

err:module:import_dll Library wmvcore.dll (which is needed by L"C:\\Program
Files\\Microsoft Games\\Rise Of Legends\\legends.exe") not found

You probably need to install wmp9/10 from winetricks.

This crash, which comes from installing the native DirectX 9 redist, was fixed
sometime ago. You shouldn't install the redist in general unless you have a
good specific reason.
