I don't have this problem anymore with Wine 1.2, Xubuntu 10.04, Wine audio
options ALSA and Emulation, AOTI default audio options. Wine is also setup as
Windows ME. Tested with both the offline version and the online version (EGS
server).

I don't have the time right now to test different options but I will if the
problem isn't resolved on your end.
