The Wine strategy is an approximation, in particular because we also have to
respect what the app itself requests. It's quite possible that behavior with
contradictory configurations doesn't quite match what other apps do; I don't
think that's a particularly interesting case. Besides, as you mentioned,
there's no clear standard to follow anyway.
