Does this really still happen with current git? I'm having some trouble
reproducing this. I do see a d3d9 object being created when I push the
"Preferences" tab (and again when going to the "Video" preference group), but
as far as I can tell it all works properly. For what it's worth, I used
http://installers.wwiionline.com/wwiiol0001311.exe to install, and I'm running
ww2.exe directly since I don't have an account for the game.
