I'm seeing this in the trial as well.

uname -a:
Linux laptop 2.6.32-22-generic #36-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jun 3 22:02:19 UTC 2010 i686
GNU/Linux

ubuntu lucid, wine 1.2-rc5 compiled from git. It's semi-random here, however,
and seem to depend on the network. I'm on wireless, and it seems to crash about
1/3 of the time. Once it crashes, attempting another login will crash for
another 30 seconds or so. After that, logs in fine.

Native wininet doesn't help, didn't try wldap32 or SC2 patch yet.
