I did another test: I cannot crash the game even if I deliberately provide it
with unaligned pointers. (Align them to 16 byte first, then offset the pointer
by 1). So I can't reproduce the original bug at all. If I disable my GL address
alignment code the game runs just fine too.

However, with the screwed up alignment neither hand nor weapon render.

My game version is 1.7.563. This are my graphics settings:

Video Mode: 640x480, windowed(in config file)
Sync frame: No
Dual Video cards: no
Shadows yes
Spec map: yes
Depth of field: yes
Glow: Yes
Dynamic lights: normal
Soften Smoke edges: yes
Ragdoll: yes
Bullet impacts: yes
Model and water detail normal

Is any special map needed to provoke the crashes? or any special in-game
action?
