Summary: Blizzard Downloader launched from inside WoW locks the
                    sound device.
           Product: Wine
           Version: 1.1.41
          Platform: x86-64
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: directx-dsound
        AssignedTo: wine-bugs at winehq.org
        ReportedBy: renrutal at gmail.com

Steps to reproduce:

1) Start wow.exe
2) Log in
3) The World of Warcraft client downloads the updater then launches it, and
exits
4) While Blizzard Downloader is active, you cannot listen to any sound

If I execute Blizzard Downloader manually, sound works fine.

Tested playing sounds with Amarok, aplay, KDE system settings (which
segfaults), mplayer and many other players. None outputed a sound.

Using mplayer to play any sound file while Blizzard Downloader is active wields
this debug message:

[AO OSS] audio_setup: Can't open audio device /dev/dsp: Device or resource busy
[AO_ALSA] alsa-lib: pcm_hw.c:1325:(snd_pcm_hw_open) open /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p
failed: Device or resource busy
