Summary: No printing - program written in BPW Borland Pascal
for Windows
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs at winehq.org
ReportedBy: charles.beerten at belgacom.net
I am trying to use an accounting program specifically written for the
management of local churches in Belgium.
The original program was written in BPW Borland Pascal for Windows 13 years
ago. When a print command is issued, absolutely nothing happens. When using the
notepad under Wine, printing is ok.
The program can be freely dowloaded at:
http://home.euphonynet.be/logiciel-fabrique/
I know the software writer but did not ask if he would agree to provide the
source code.
Wine version: wine-1.1.42.
Operating system UBUNTU 9.04
Printer HP920C - parrallel port
Desktop Gnome 2.26.1
Did some trials to solve the problem:
- wine fabrique.exe &> log.txt The log file is empty!
- winconsole cmd ,then fabrique.exe &> log.txt Once again empty log file.
- WINEDEBUG=+print,+printui wine fabrique &> debug.txt The debug.txt is empty.
- WINEDEBUG=err+all wine fabrique &> errr.txt ==> empty file
- WINEDEBUG=warn+all wine fabrique &> warn.txt ==> big warn.txt file posted at
http://www.quickfilepost.comdownload.do?get=a894e43c29652ce8458d32bfa2414690
- WINEDEBUG=fixme+all wine fabrique &> fixme.txt ==> empty file
- WINEDEBUG=trace+all wine fabrique &> trace.txt ==> huge file posted at
http://www.quickfilepost.com/download.do?get=d24e8d5698679010dc067dfe2fa0bcdc
Thank to every one who willpay attention
Charles
