This still seems active to me. I am still getting this FIXME from line 525 in
current git: FIXME("No master control found on %s, disabling mixer\n",
snd_ctl_card_info_get_name(info));, which indicates that the device is
unavailable, and I am unable to record in Audacity; I haven't tried TF2 again
yet, but this bug should prevent a user from using a USB mic in WINE at all.

Looking through mixer.c again to see the feasibility of a patch.
