Confirming, FIXED in wine-1.2-rc1-142-ga72f3f3.

Particular commit (wine-1.2-rc1-103-ge6611e2):

PS: I tested NFS Carbon patched to v1.4. If the the commit is reverted, NFS
Carbon crashes before entering the game.
