Interesting. I can confirm that sound works as it should if you use ALSA. I did
try setting OSS in winecfg earlier and it did not work. Switched my Linux to
ALSA to test this.

It still crashes if I try to do things though. For example removing a track
from the view in the bottom middle (rightclick->delete). So this only helped
remove that other problem.

I am not sure what that means, but maybe my report was not clear enough.
Mixmeister crashes and notices it itself. It displays a "Submit Error
Report" window then where you can choose to send a report. Pressing Cancel will
not get rid of it. So I am not sure where Wine's backtrace comes into play (I
am clueless about those things, more a user than programmer really).
