The same problem after installing wine on FreeBSD with default configuration.

Is opening 'Internet Explorer' as default image browser with the error popup
'DDE failure' is expected behavior? Why you can't disable it by default? What's
worse, GNOME settings 'Remember this application for "xxx image" files' are
ignored, if you choose different application.

This bug is 1 years old, when it will be FIXED?
