Confirming under Gnome 2.32, nVidia 260.19.21, wine 1.3.7.
Desktop switching causes the game to freeze. There is nothing I can do to
restore "action" to the game. Only "xkill" (or equivalent) will kill the game.
I don't remember it ever working right.
