For me in 1.3.8, I need native ie6 to see the game menu at all. After that,
starting the game sets the resolution to something my monitor can't handle. I
tried a virtual desktop, but then the game gets an access violation when I try
to start it.

So, not sure if still present or not in 1.3.8.
