I tried to compile wine, but I got a gcc error.  After trying to upgrade gcc,
it broke several necessary packages to build applications, such as wine, from
sourcecode.  Short of reinstallation, which is something I plan to do in the
near future (probably late Nov.), I will not be able to compile applications
from sourcecode.

I did install Android 2.0 on my N810, but that did not have many packages to
compile on that OS.
